At Lake Superior Kennels, our story doesn’t begin with a business plan—it begins with a childhood dream. I have been deeply in love with this breed since I was a young girl, and that lifelong passion is the foundation of everything we do today. Located in the beautiful Chequamegon Bay area of Wisconsin, we are dedicated to raising healthy, stable, and versatile dogs that allow other families to experience the same joy I’ve known for decades.

Quality, Health, and Temperament We believe that a truly exceptional dog starts with a rock-solid foundation. Our goal is to produce dogs with stable temperaments and the physical soundness to excel in any environment. Whether they are competing in the ring or relaxing at home, our dogs are bred to be confident, capable companions. To ensure our dogs are as functional as they are beautiful, we stay active in:
Conformation: Validating our dogs against the breed standard.
Performance Sports: Testing their drive, intelligence, and athletic ability.
Raised with Heart and Heritage
Our kennel is a true family affair. My husband and I, along with our five children, are all hands-on in the daily care and socializing of our dogs. We are situated on beautiful acreage with plenty of room to roam, and our dogs split their time between the comfort of our home and our purpose-built outside kennels. Because our dogs are raised in the midst of a busy household, they are naturally exposed to:
Young children and the energy of a large family.
Common household noises and various outdoor stimuli.
Socialization that prepares them for the "real world" from day one.
Looking Toward the Future..
We are constantly striving to improve. To give our puppies the best possible start in life, we are excited to incorporate Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) into our raising protocol. This "Bio-Sensor" program helps improve cardiovascular performance, stronger heartbeats, and greater resistance to stress—ensuring that a Lake Superior puppy is prepared for a lifetime of adventure.
